The ANOC General Assembly is the largest meeting of the Olympic Movement outside the Olympic Games. Thomas Bach

President of the International Olympic Committee

Jiří Kejval

President
of the Czech Olympic Committee

"We are excited to welcome all delegates and guests of the XXII ANOC General Assembly. It is an honour for us to host a sport conference of such magnitude. We would like to thank the Association of National Olympic Committees for this opportunity and recognition of our hard work and international activities that reach to the very beginning of the Olympic Movement. We wish the delegates and guests fruitful meetings, successful Assembly and great stay in one of the most beautiful, historical and cultural cities in the world."

Roman Kumpošt

Vice President
of the Czech Olympic Committee

"The EOC General Assembly took place in Prague in 1999 and 2015. The Czech capital hosted the 115th Session of the International Olympic Committee in 2003. Now we are pleased to present Prague and the Czech Republic to the whole World during the largest gathering of countries outside the Olympic Games. We will do our best to make Prague a second home to all delegates and guests of the XXII ANOC General Assembly and the ANOC Awards, and to highlight it as a great city to host major international events."

Welcome to Prague

Prague, the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic, is widely renowned as being one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The historical centre of the town with its unique panorama of Prague Castle, the largest castle complex in the world, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Prague offers amazing opportunities to discover architecture, culture and history on virtually every step you take.

ANOC Awards

The ANOC Awards was established by ANOC President Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah and held for the first time in Bangkok in 2014. The event was created in order to recognise the achievements of the NOCs and their athletes as well as distinguished members of the Olympic Family. More details are available here.

Transport around Prague

Transport for all delegates and guests of the ANOC GA will be arranged by the Organising Committee. Availability can be checked at the dedicated desks located in official hotels. Both venues are also within walking distance. Public transport is highly-developed in Prague. You can find more information on www.dpp.cz.

Weather conditions

Average temperatures at the end of October and beginning of November in the Czech Republic are around 8 degrees Celsius. Prepare for typical European autumn weather – some days are sunny, but visitors can expect some rainy and damp days, as well as foggy. Snow usually comes later in November.

Accomodation and venues

The XXII ANOC General Assembly will take place in Hilton Prague Hotel and the ANOC Awards in Forum Karlin. More information about the hotels and venues can be found here.

Accompanying programme

Programme for participants will present Prague from different points of view. Participants will be able to discover various aspects of history and architecture of this exceptional town. Discover more about schedule and options here.
