Bread Karel, Czech beer or virtual reality. Czech House offers to visitors full of great expierences

The Czech House in Kangnung, South Korea, is slowly getting ready for Friday’s opening ceremony. Preparations are finishing and you will definitely not miss the Czech House. The blue-red lightings CZECH HOUSE with Korean equivalents on the building and a large LED screen hanging 10 m high above the main entrance highlighting the program and encouraging Czech athletes – all is visible far away even to the Olympic Village.

What could you expect inside? Let’s enjoy it!

Immediately after entering to the Czech House you will be impressed by a large Czech flag made of a shelf wall in which are placed heads of figurines with Raškovka – caps inspired by legendary cap in which the ski jumper Jiri Raska won the first Czech gold medal at the Winter Olympics in Grenoble 1968.

On the ground floor in the Czech House (open for public every day 11-24) you will admire extraordinary glass exhibition of Lasvit company. In the middle of the floor there will be a bar with a restaurant where you can order Czech Pilsner Urquell beer and also the best Czech traditional meals. A wide offer of Czech delicacies that go great together with beer every day will be taken care of by chef Mikhael Ashminov, well-known from the Korean TV variety show about cooking called Please Take Care Of My Refrigerator.

All lovers of virtual reality will be delighted with the presentation of Czech Tourism company which has prepared a ride on sledge for visitors. Another one by Pilsner Urquell is for guests who wants to try to pour the right Pilsner beer. We strongly recommend to try. The whole room is decorated by the paintings made by Czech Tourism mapping the natural scenery and beauty of the Czech Republic.

A unique element in the Czech House is its own Czech bakery. Every day baker Karel Rendl bakes approximately 80 loaves of bread and will supply both the Czech and Slovakian House and especially the Czech Team in both Olympic villages. There is possible to taste Olympic bread Karel in the Czech House as well. We also are preparing a bakery show for you where we will introduce to making bread dough and you will be able to taste other bakery delicacies.

There is going to be a stage in the Czech House where we will together celebrate the medal success of Czech athletes or welcome sports celebrities from all over the world. There will be prepared an accompanying program also. Two speakers – Tomas Verner and Miroslav Lenc are going to be your guide through this programme all the time in the Czech House. Visitors to the Czech House will not miss any latest news from the Olympics. Several TV screens located on the walls will regularly broadcast Olympics both Czech and Korean language.
